About us
We are a locally owned family business in Alaska. We opened Birchwood Campground #1 in Kasilof in 2025. One year later, in 2026, we proudly added Birchwood Campground #2 in Soldotna. Alaska is our home, and we’re excited to share these dry camping locations with you. Affordable rates, family and pet friendly.
Kasilof, Alaska
Birchwood Campground #1, our original site opened in 2025, is nestled near Kasilof Beach and the Kasilof River. It offers spacious drive-in campsites with a friendly, social atmosphere and is especially popular during fishing season. Reserve online or pay onsite (first-come, first-served basis).

SOLDOTNA, Alaska
Birchwood Campground #2 is our second location, opened in 2026. Tucked in a private, wooded setting in Soldotna with no close neighbors, it offers a quiet and secluded camping experience. Reserve online only (no option to pay onsite).

Our Kasilof location is less than half a mile off the Sterling Hwy, on N Cohoe Loop Rd. Near Kasilof Beach and/or Kasilof River.
Our Soldotna location is less then 15 miles up Funny River Rd. Near Brown's Lake and/or Kenai River.
